Depression and Anxiety are the leading mental health illnesses facing adults and young people in Ireland today.

Around 1 in 6 people in Ireland will experience a mental health problem like anxiety each year. It is also likely that

individuals will not seek help for depression or anxiety, meaning many remain without diagnosis or treatment.

Here at the Donegal Adventure Centre we strive to tackle this growing issue with the help of trained and qualified

facilitator Damien Daly.
Using a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approach & Outdoor Learning through Adventure Activities as tools in

combating mental health issues and moving beyond awareness.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is the leading evidence basetreatment for a range of mental health conditions,

including depression, and anxiety for over 40 years. The students will take part in a creative workshop where they

discuss a range of issues on mental health and develop strategies to deal with these issues in a facilitated & group

lead discussion.
