Bundoran - sunny, sunny, and sunny! It can't last.can it? It has
been like California around here for the last two weeks- tans ( real ones!),
bikinis, shorts, flip-flops. we've been plastering sun cream on our surfers
all weekend, - how delightful!
OK- quick update on what's coming up:
Next weekend is a 'SURF ROCK' weekend, featuring The Coronas on Saturday night -
we are fully booked, not a bed
left!
But looking forward to a mad one.
Our next surf weekend is the
June Bank Holiday
(which actually starts May
30th.)
This is also the weekend of the Rory Gallagher Festival in Ballyshannon, and if you are a Rock music fan, and haven't done the Rory Festival, get your leathers out, and go!
We will have accommodation, and for those who are interested, we have surf lessons and also other activities, including high ropes, climbing, cliff-jump,skateboarding etc.
Much of the music in Ballyshannon is free, and bands come from all over the world to celebrate Rory's music - if you are wondering why it's in Ballyshannon, that's where Rory G was born, and even though Cork claim him, born in Donegal means belonging to Donegal :) !
We also have accommodation & activity options for the weekends of June 6th,
13th & 27th, and the weekend of July 18th. I'll keep you posted on the
events and festivals, but try to get a weekend surfing over the summer, it's
always good for the soul :) and if you are one of these people who's been
talking about doing a learn-to-surf weekend for ages, DO IT NOW! Drag your
high-maintenance 'I wouldn't-be-caught-dead-in-a-wetsuit' friends by the
scruff and convert them. They need it.
We provide accommodation for you: we have twin rooms, double rooms, and
four/six/eight bed rooms for the adult (18+) weekends. Accommodation rates
are from 20 euro per person per night, and you are welcome to stay even if
you don't fancy doing activities. We're doing teen surf camps beginning June
6th for the under 18's, and we will be on full holiday mode from July 1st!
